Don’t tread on me

Andrius Vaitekunas said he came to the Restoring Honor rally just to check it out. After spending some time in the crowd, he said he’d “seen what is a needed reminder for everyone.”

That reminder – a resurgence of constitutional rights and the importance of the individual – is what he said backs the motto, “Don’t tread on me.”

“I’m not an old guy, but as I’ve lived I’ve seen more and more taxes put on me, car taxes, property taxes, and I’m certainly not in a high tax bracket or anything,” Vaitekunas said. “It is a constant, slow erosion of the Constitution.”

Still, Vaitekunas maintains a sense of humor. When a passerby asked if he was a Steeler’s fan, he said it would make sense to convert.
