Glenn Beck introduced Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial where MLK delivered his speech exactly 47 years ago today.
Civil rights groups criticize King for taking part in the Restoring Honor rally, as Martin Luther King III participates in the Reclaim the Dream march a few blocks away.
Beck played clips from the “I Have a Dream” speech before identifying King as a woman whose family history is defined by bloodshed.
“How many of us know we need to rebuild America?,” King asked as she ended her speech.
